Yet another #HusbandMurder has been reported, this time from Haryana’s Charkhi Dadri where a woman along with her male friend eliminated her husband. The deceased man was working as a soldier in the Indian Army.
Case:
Praveen Kumar was posted in the army as Havildar in 22 Signal Regiment of Meerut. He had come home to visit his family during his vacation. However, Praveen was murdered by his wife Monica before he could leave back for work again.
Police Investigation
When the police started investigating the matter, they learnt how the murder was pre planned by the soldier’s wife along with her male friend named Vicky.
According to the officials, a day before Praveen was going to return to work, his wife along with her friend gave sleeping pills to him and later strangled him to death.
On February 5, after Praveen’s body was recovered in a suspicious condition, the family members had attributed his death to a heart attack. The family had told the police that he had slept after having dinner and when he woke up in the morning, he was feeling dizzy.
The family said that they rushed him to Dadri Civil Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
Praveen was given a final farewell with full state honors, but just after a week his post-mortem report submitted by the Board of Inquiry narrated a different tale.
The postmortem report said that Praveen died due to strangulation and suffocation and not heart attack. The police immediately registered a case of murder and started investigation.
On thoroughly interrogating Monica, she broke down and confessed how she had planned the murder with Vicky.
According to the police, Monica gave sleeping pills to her husband and late in the night, together, both of them strangled the soldier to death. Both accused have been arrested.
