PM Narendra Modi in his address to the nation on August 15, 2022, said we must respect all women. However, with the constant one sided narrative, India seems to be turning a blind eye to the miseries of Married Men and the number of their ever increasing suicides on an annual basis.
Yet another #HusbandSuicide case has been reported, this time from Aurangabad in Bihar.
Newly Married Patiala Groom Dies By Suicide Due To Rs 70 Lakh Alimony Harassment By In-Laws
Case:
Vikas Kumar, 25-year-old son of former ASI late Dhirendra Prasad died by suicide by hanging himself in Aurangabad over the weekend, accusing his in-laws of harassment.
Allegations by Deceased’s Brother
According to Vivek Kumar, brother of deceased, Vikas got married to Sunita (daughter of Rameshwar Paswan in Khori Khap village of Bandeya) in 2019. It is alleged that after marriage, Sunita used to frequently quarrel with his brother and used to call her maternal relatives to beat him up.
Vivek informed police that many a times, the matter was settled, however, Sunita’s family filed a ‘false’ case of dowry harassment against Vikas sometime ago.
Following this, Vikas’ father who was posted as ASI in Bhuliop, Dhanbad, died of a heart attack. Their entire family was under tension after this incident.
However, it is further alleged that even after the death of Vikas’ father, his in-laws were pressurizing him to transfer all the amount received from the government to Sunita.
Vikas’ wife was then living with her parents at her home, while her family was constantly calling Vikas and harassing him for money.
Unable to bear this pressure and stress, Vikas hanged himself.

Family of deceased learnt about this unfortunate incident, only when they were unable to reach him. When the neighbours peeped into Vikas’ home, they saw his body hanging inside.
Subsequently, the Fasar police was called in and the body was sent for post mortem.
