A schoolteacher in Uttar Pradesh’s Hathras district was allegedly murdered by his teenage daughter and her male classmate. Both accused who are minors are on the run currently.
Case:
Durgesh Kant, 47, worked as a teacher at a government school in Hathras. He had a 15-year-old daughter who was allegedly in a relationship with her 16-year-old lover (her classmate).
The girl was studying in Class 10 and had eloped with her boyfriend around 15-days ago. However, she returned home and thereafter, her father allegedly beat her up and warned her not to meet with the boy again.

Murder
On Tuesday afternoon, Kant caught his daughter and her lover together inside his home. This is when the couple killed him with a pestle and knife.
Kant was rushed to hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
The incident took place when no one was at home, police said, adding that while the girl’s mother, who works as an ANM (auxiliary nurse and midwife) was on duty, the girl’s 14-year-old brother and grandfather had gone outside for some errands.

Police Statement
Speaking with TOI, SHO Satander Singh Raghav of the Hathras Gate police station said,
After getting information, we took custody of the body and sent it for autopsy. An FIR against the accused girl and boy was registered under IPC sections 302 and 307 after Kant’s father, Har Parkash, filed a complaint.
After investigation, it will be decided whether the accused would be tried under Juvenile Justice Act or not.

Speaking with Times Now, another officer said,
As per the complaint lodged by the girl’s grandfather, when he and his grandson reached home from the market, they were stopped by her from going upstairs.
The grandson, however, freed himself and reached upstairs and saw his father lying in a pool of blood in a room. He called out to his grandfather, who quickly reached the room. The grandfather then saw the girl and her male classmate trying to choke his son to death. Both the accused then fled the spot.

Additional Superintendent of Police (Hathras) Ashok Kumar Singh added,
We have booked the two minors for murder and taken in our possession the weapons used for the murder. The accused are absconding and we are conducting raids to nab them soon.
