A girl from the national capital reached her boyfriend’s house in Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh on Friday morning and created ruckus.
Here’s What Happened
The girl met the youth on social media and the two fell in love.
The girl, who is a resident of Ganga Ram Telibara in Shahdara, reached the boy’s house in Mawana’s Niloha village in the morning and insisted on marrying the youth.
The girl also created a ruckus at the youth’s house prompting his family to call police. The girl insisted on a court marriage. Later, police brought the couple to Mawana police station, according to a report in Dainik Jagran.
Boy Was Forced To Agree
The couple who met on social media initially agreed to marry but differences cropped up. However, the girl reached her boyfriend’s house in Niloha village on Friday and insisted on marrying the man. The parents of the couple finally agreed to court the marriage of the couple.
Police Intervenes
Sub-inspector Satish Kumar reached the spot and brought the couple to the police station.
In the meantime, the girl’s mother and sister also reached the spot. The girl is a Brahmin while the youth is from the Jat community and is preparing for a government job.
At the police station, the families of the lovers agreed to their marriage after taking two days’ time. The girl later went back to Delhi with her family.
The youth’s father claimed he had already given his consent for their marriage but the girl’s parents were not ready.
It is alleged the girl’s family is trying to blackmail the youth for money. Mawana Inspector Vishnu Kaushik said the two families have agreed to court marriage in the next two days.
