In a tragic incident reported from Tamil Nadu, a 26-year-old Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) constable shot himself dead inside a restroom at the Chennai international Airport in the early hours of Thursday.
The incident took place on Thursday at around 7 in the morning. The reason for suicide is not known.
Background:
Yashpal Yadav, was a native of Satlawas Village, Rajasthan who had joined CISF in 2017. Yashpal shot himself using his service pistol when he entered the rest room, following which he died on the spot. He was on duty at the departure terminal on Thursday.
There was a stampede-like situation at the airport after hearing the sound of gunshots. People did not understand from where the bullet was fired and who fired it.
Airport police have registered a case and further investigation is on. Currently, the reason for his suicide is unknown.
