Sonipat Woman Thrashes Old Mother-in-Law After Her Son Got Roti For His Daadi

An inhuman video of a daughter-in-law abusing and beating her old mother-in-law in Sonipat, Haryana went viral yesterday. While the local police has registered a complaint against the accused, the reason for her behaviour will shock you all.

Background:

This case has been reported from Khurd village of Sonipat. As seen in the video below, 75-year-old mother-in-law Ishwanti is holding her daughter-in-law Manisha’s hand outside the house. The younger woman is seen abusing the elderly lady and also pushing and thrashing her. 

As per media reports, the daughter-in-law got furious after her son brought a piece of roti (bread) for his daadi (grandmother). When the old lady ate the roti, Manisha suddenly came and picked up a fight with her. 

Later, mother-in-law who is a widow, lodged a complaint with the local police against Manisha, her mother and brother and a case has been registered accordingly. However, there is no arrest yet. 

Daughter-in-Law Does Not Give Proper Meals To Old Mother-in-Law 

Ishwanti’s son Mukesh is married to Manisha and the couple has a son.

There is already an ongoing dispute in the family and Manisha has filed a case of dowry harassment against her husband and others. She had been living in her maternal home and had returned to her matrimonial home only a few days ago. Both sides have alleged harassment from each other. 

After the below video went viral, Manisha too alleged assault on her by in-laws and termed the viral video as a conspiracy against her. 

Shockingly as per mother-in-law’s complaint, she has accused Manisha of starving her by giving her only 2 rotis – once in morning and once in evening – daily. According to Ishwanti, last she had eaten rotis five days ago, which is when her grandson got her one more roti. 

When the daughter-in-law learnt about this, she allegedly started quarrelling and beating her mother-in-law. In the evening, when Mukesh shouted at his wife for assaulting his mother, Manisha once again beat up Ishwanti and also fought with her husband. 

Mukesh too shared his side of the story stating that he was living with his brother and old mother and they cooked their food separately. Despite this, his wife had made their life miserable and there were threats to their life too.
