On the dreamy island of Mallorca in Spain, Som Hotels has created a new kind of getaway;
A Hotel For Women Only
Yes, you read that right! Women and female teens are welcome to stay at Hotel Som Dona, which translates to “We Are Women.” The hotel opened officially on June 14 this year.

Sparkling white sunbeds, modern minimalist decor and one rule regarding occupants to make it stand out from the pack:
Absolutely No Men

The hotel boasts a pool, a spa, a roof-top terrace, healthy food options and is open to all women (and girls over 14) whether they are travelling solo, as a couple or in a group with other women. The hotel’s bold decoration is inspired by feminine features and it’s painted white and pink. The website poses a question to their visitors reading:
Did you know that you can be wild, healthy, fun, beautiful, relaxed, adventurous, curious and social all at once? This particular exercise in catering to women’s needs feels less about really providing for what women might want and more about cashing in.

The 39-room hotel offers amenities such as massages, beauty treatments, sports and excursions to the surrounding area. Som Hotels CEO Joan Enric Capellà, in a statement, said that the rooms were carefully designed for women who seek relaxation in a Mediterranean environment.
Some of the staff are men, though, in keeping with Spain’s regulations on discrimination in employment. Bosses do say, however, that they aim to recruit women (particularly in ‘traditionally masculine jobs’) where possible. Aside from the people, the creators have tried to make the property as woman-friendly as possible.
I give it a year max. It’s usually couples that occupy hotels and let’s be honest it’s usually the bloke that pays.

These women are pathetic if they think this is the way forward. Sheer madness!
Donal Dempsey @doniedempsey said,
Men only clubs have literally been taken to court for not allowing female members, now I’m not against women’s rights and equality, it’s not something women should ever had had to fight for but why now after getting equality are they going the other way?
Tony Pigott @tonypigott expressed,
I agree. It is implied, that all men are perverts, potential rapists, paedophiles; who harass, sexually assault women an children. What about lesbian women in their midst? Surely, they would have similar desires for women as straight men? It is no longer about equality, but the domination, subjugation and emasculation of men.
That is surely sexist and discrimination against men. It is surely illegal, and definitely unjust.
IDoNotKneel @IDoNotKneel said,
I am sure men are allowed if they are labourers smh disgusting sexism.
Soon there will be a time when women will start blaming women themselves for their suppression. @RIPGenderEquality

Blogging about Equal Rights for Men or writing about Gender Biased Laws is often looked upon as
controversial, as many 'perceive' it Anti-Women. Due to this grey area - where we demand Equality
in the true sense for all genders - most brands distance themselves from advertising on a portal like ours.
We, therefore, look forward to your support as donors who understand our work and are willing to partner in this endeavour to spread this cause. Do support our work to counter one sided gender biased narratives in the media.
