A case of #HusbandMurder has been reported from Bharatpur, Rajasthan where a woman allegedly killed her spouse after 12-years of marriage.
The woman had filed Dowry harassment charges on her husband, who was out on bail.
Case:
Jitendra Saini (30) was married to Deepa Saini 12-years ago. The couple has two daughters – 10-years and 8-years old.
Around two and a half years ago, Deepa had filed a case of dowry harassment against Jitendra and his brother Bijendra post which both brothers spent 6-months in jail.
Currently, the two brothers were out on bail, while the case was still ongoing.
Murder
On Monday, Jitendra had gone to Beru village with his wife. Both reached city late in the evening.
According to Deepa, the duo were sleeping in the same room – while Jitendra was sleeping on the cot, she was lying on the ground. She informed police that she saw her husband’s body soaked in blood when she woke up next morning.
Police said initially it emerged that Jitendra was strangled to death and later was hit on the head with a knife.
Deepa informed the police that she was unaware when and how this incident happened. Jitendra’s family members too reached the spot.
Interrogation – Wife Prime Suspect
During interrogation, police have suspected the wife to be prime suspect in this murder and have taken Deepa in their custody.
Jitendra’s body has been kept in the mortuary of the city hospital.
