Gender Biased Laws can lead to an extreme form of harassment for the men, especially if the girl or her family wants to fix him (even after being in a consensual relationship). One such incident has been reported from Ghaziabad, NCR, where a young man tried to end life, after he was charged under the Goonda Act.
While fortunately, the man was saved from dying, his videos have come to light, where he had shared his ordeal.

Neeraj Yadav, (25), a resident of New Defence Colony in Tila Mor, claimed to be in love with a girl, whose family framed him in two cases. Neeraj who is a cab driver by profession, through his videos said that the police was trying to frame him under the Goonda Act.

Attempt to Suicide
In one of the videos, Neeraj revealed that he was in a relationship with a girl and thus he went to her house to talk to her father about their marriage. But her family allegedly beat him up, injured his head, and her father framed him in a case, for which he remained in jail for two months. When he came out on bail, things just got worse.
In the second video, Neeraj said,
Agar mai goonda hota toh aur criminal cases hota, lekin uske alawa mere upar ar koi case nahi hai
