…of the IPC.
As per NCRB Suicide Report 2019, nearly 98,000 Men died by suicide in India where top reason remained Domestic/Family Problems. The suicide number for Women in India in the same year was recorded at 41,000. Yet, India does not recognise Domestic Violence / Domestic Abuse of Husbands as a Law.
Besides, Gender Biased Laws such as false dowry harassment case, false domestic violence, other false criminal charges are often used by wives and their families to control, dominate and manipulate husbands in all possible ways. Kids too, are often used as tools, and most Men suffer abusive marriages silently due to fear of being separated from their children.

Innumerable cases of men being systematically harassed at the hands of their wives in recent times. These are educated, urban, middle-class women who suddenly feel empowered and have begun to take advantage of the laws highly inclined towards the females. Aren’t there activists or organizations determined to work on securing fair laws for men? Some women with evil intentions have been indiscriminately using their children too in order to settle their ego and manipulate husband and his family. We need stricter laws to deal with cases of harassment filed by women. Incidentally, laws relating to domestic violence should be expanded to include harassment by women. Is anyone listening?
