An unusual love story has been reported from Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. But who are we to judge!
A woman in her late 60’s notarised her live-in relationship with a 20+ year old man, which created buzz in social media.
Here’s What Happened!
Ramkali, 67, a resident of the Morena district is in love with 28-year-old Bholu. The couple registered their live-in relationship with a notary at Gwalior district court on Tuesday last week.
Ramkali and Bholu, both residents of Kailaras, do not plan to get married, however, want to live with each other for the rest of their lives. To give some sanctity to their relationship, the duo have got their live-in relationship notarised. Lawyer Pradeep Awasthi said that couples notarise live-in relations to “avoid disputes ,though such documents are not binding”.
Ramkali and Bholu have been in love with each other and have been living together for the last 6-years.
As per experts, a notary in such live-in relationships are hardly recognised in India. The Contact Act is only valid in Islam and does not fall under the category of Hindu Marriage Act.
Here’s wishing Ramkali and Bholu the best of times ahead! You can leave your wishes for the couple on the tweet below:
