In a ghastly attack, a woman in Uttar Pradesh threw acid on her husband’s face….because he questioned her on why she returned home late. The incident took place in the Cooperganj area of Kanpur on Saturday night.
Here’s What Happened
Victim has been identified as 40-year-old Dabbu Gupta. In a viral video at the end of this article, husband is sharing his ordeal with the media. He says,
When I asked my wife Poonam the reason for her delay in returning home, she retorted saying it was none of my business. Soon after, a fight broke out between us following which she picked up acid from the washroom and threw it on my face.
While demanding imprisonment for Poonam, Dabbu also sought better treatment facilities so that he can recover soon. Currently, he been admitted to Ursala Hospital.
Kanpur Police Statement
According to Zee News, Kanpur police official has confirmed arrest of the accused wife:
A case has been registered at the Collector Ganj police station and the woman has been arrested.
Note: India does not recognise Domestic Violence against Men as a law. Every single matrimonial law, particularly within the Hindu Marriage Act, is designed to protect only the wife. Men have no recourse, except civil case of divorce.
