A lady was arrested for killing her husband in the Banka district of Bihar, two days after the body was recovered from a river with his head chopped.
Case:
Shyam Manjhi, a 55-year-old man from Pipra Mushari village, used to work in Delhi as a labourer. His wife Putul lived in Banka with their two daughters. Tempu, the lover of the woman, was a frequent visitor when Shyam was away. Shyam returned to the village only to be discovered dead a day later.
What Happened that Night?
Victim’s daughter Sindhu Devi informed the investigators that she was at her mother’s place on the night when this incident took place. She further alleged that her mother took her father Shyam out for work in the night. The daughter along with her sister followed them with the help of a torch, where they saw mother Putul and her lover Tempu were dragging their father, while Tempu also had a sword in his hand.
Sindhu said that she and her sister were threatened by Tempu, that he would kill both of them if they informed anyone about the incident. The complainant also added that both Putul and Tempu chopped off their father’s head and also hid his body later.
Police Investigation
Police have arrested Putul after noting detailed statement Sindhu. Keshar SHO also confirmed that Putul was arrested on the allegation of the deceased’s daughter. Police also stated that Tempu is at present on the run. The investigation of the police is ongoing while search for Tempu continues.
