In a shocking incident reported from Howrah, West Bengal on Sunday, a woman killed her 45-year-old husband brutally by hitting him on his head and cutting off genitals from his body. The incident took place in Malipukur in Jujarsaha village near the Panchla police station area.
According to the investigation, a family feud allegedly led the wife Manira to gruesomely kill her husband — who has been identified as Mohsin Mallik. Manira is a mentally challenged person who was apparently on medication, as informed by the cops. The couple has two sons, one of whom, told police that after they got up from their beds in the morning, their mother was in another room. She asked them to go to her bedroom and see what she had done.
As soon as the sons went into the room, they saw their father wrapped in a blanket, lying on the floor in a pool of blood, informed the police. The couple used to fight a lot. The woman has been arrested and the fish-knife she has used for killing her husband has been recovered as well, stated officials.
The husband’s body has been sent for post-mortem. Further investigation is underway, police said.

Latha had been living with another man for some time. The elders of the village had to interfere in the couple’s feud and she was then convinced to live together with her husband. In yet another similar story reported in July 2017, a 30-year-old woman, identified as Sarasu from Thuthipattu, Tamil Nadu, killed her husband by cutting off his genitals. The couple had been living separately for a year, but wanted to reconcile their differences. However, they were only suspecting each other of having illicit relationships. One fine day after an altercation, wife took a knife from the kitchen and cut off his genitals and left the house with the chopped off part.
Crime has no gender, and we can assure you, this story will attract more laughter and giggles by women as well as men; also to an extent of hailing this as women empowerment. If genders were reversed where a husband would have been equally brutal to his wife, like in this case, social media campaigns #MenAreTrash would have begun by now.
