Television Actors Aamir Ali and Sanjeeda Shaikh had an amicable divorce sometime ago, however, the same was officially announced only in January this year. The couple had agreed to co-parenting their daughter Ayra post separation.
However, as per a latest report in Hindustan Times, all is not cordial between the two when it comes to the upbringing of their child.
A source close to the couple told HT,
Sanjeeda is not letting Aamir meet their daughter. It’s been almost nine months since he met her. Also, he seems to have given up pursuing it as well. He doesn’t really wish to fight on this anymore.
Father Not Part Of Daughter’s Birthday Celebration
As per the report, Ali will not be a part of their daughter’s 3rd birthday celebration in August. Another source told HT,
Sanjeeda took the responsibility of the baby, including financially, since she was born and has been raising her as a single parent.
When asked about not letting Ali meet their daughter, Shaikh said,
I think people are more interested to know what’s happening in my professional life than my personal life. So let’s keep the personal life private only. As for the rumours, I’d just say, as a single parent, I’m doing everything to give my daughter the best of the best. To bring her up in a positive environment is my utmost priority, and I chose that.
Ali, on the other hand, says,
I don’t wish to talk about my personal life.

Divorce
The couple got married in March 2012. In August 2020, they became parents to a baby girl Ayra Ali through surrogacy.
However, within a few months, they separated and the daughter stayed with Sanjeeda. In January this year, a source told India Times,
The divorce came through almost a year ago, and both Sanjeeda and Aamir are focusing on their future. They decided not to speak about the divorce and just quietly moved on.
