On Saturday, a businessman from Rajasthan died by suicide due to an alleged domestic dispute with his second wife. The husband was fed up of his wife’s adulterous relationship with another man, which became the cause of him ending his life.
Case:
Rajkumar Bhartiya, a businessman from Churu district, was married to one Radhika earlier. However, after the death of his wife, he remarried his wife’s sister Renu. Things were smooth between the couple for a few years, however, according to his daughter Payal Bhartiya, her stepmom Renu would often quarrel with her father.
Payal also said that her 2nd maasi Meena (Radhika’s other sister) would visit their home frequently. The daughter alleged, that her step mom (without informing her father), would give away lot of money to Meena maasi. Payal further told police that around 7-months ago, Renu gave away cash worth Rs 20 lakh and jewelry to Meena. This led to many fights between the couple.
Later, Renu left with Payal’s sister and brother and started living in her parent’s home. However, after requests from their relatives, Renu returned to Rajkumar’s home.
Reason For Suicide
Payal informed the cops that one man named Rahul would come home for work and that Renu was allegedly involved with him romantically. When her father learnt about his second wife’s illicit relationship, he fired Rahul from the job.
However, it was Renu who kept pressurising her husband to take back Rahul which led to tremendous pressure on Rajkumar. Since he could not bear this situation any longer, he allegedly consumed poison and ended life on Saturday.
On getting information about the incident, the police and family members admitted the businessman to a private hospital. When his condition turned critical, the doctor referred him to Hisar, but the businessman died on the way.
Payal has registered a case against the accused and the police has started investigation.
