The focus of every central and state government has been towards the growth, development and education of the youth, and certain benefits and scholarships are awarded to the socially backward and deprived strata of society. How Did The Scam Take Place
- The government gives scholarship to the youth belonging to scheduled caste on applying for the post matriculation course
- This money gets credited directly into the candidate’s account
- The scholarship process is completed through the Social Welfare Department
- NGO director Gurdev Kaur got the students admitted under this scheme, opened bank accounts in their name but kept the ATM kit with herself and her daughter
- As soon as the scholarship money was received in the student’s account, the mother-daughter duo would withdraw the same
We once again conclude that #CrimeHasNoGender But Laws are Gender Biased.
