A young man committed suicide in the Mau district of Uttar Pradesh as he was allegedly disturbed by the torture of police in a falsely accused case.
The deceased, Abhishek, was a resident of Salempur village of Mohammadabad Gohna Kotwali. He hailed from a lower financial background and was working in Mumbai to support his family in every manner. Meanwhile, eight months ago, a young woman from the neighbouring village of Sia Basti went missing from her home under suspicious conditions. At this point in time Abhishek was working in Mumbai. However, the girl’s father filed a false case at the police station accusing Abhishek of kidnapping his daughter.
According to the family members of the girl, she had eloped with some other man and not Abhishek. Yet, her family implicated Abhishek in a fake case.
