“A clean India would be the best tribute India could pay to Mahatma Gandhi on his 150 birth anniversary in 2019,” said PM Narendra Modi as he had launched the Swachh Bharat Mission at Rajpath in New Delhi on October 2, 2014. The Mission was launched throughout length and breadth of the country as a national movement.
Partnering with the vision of India, 12-year-old Hyderabad boy has developed a ‘smart dustbin’ after getting inspired by the Swachh Bharat Mission programme. Mohammed Hasan who is himself is standard eight, takes classes for Civil, Mechanical and Electronic engineering students of Masters and Bachelor levels. Hasan claims that he was highly inspired and motivated to do something after he watched one of the Swachh Bharat campaign programmes.
How Does The Smart Dustbin Work?
The young enthusiast told ANI News Agency,
Whenever the dustbin gets filled, the display outside will show and when the dustbin gets totally filled up then it will send a message to the Municipal Corporation to come and pick up the dustbin.
Speaking about the dustbin, Hasan continued,
This dustbin has a Wi-Fi module, ultrasonic sensors, servo motor, an LCD, sensor and buzzer. The ultrasonic sensors measure the amount of garbage in the dustbin while the LCD displays the quantity to the owners. The Wi-Fi module comes into use when the dustbin is filled and a message needs to be sent to the Municipal Corporation.
It took me two days to complete this project, if we use the technology with Swachh Bharat then it can come handy in keeping our country clean.

This is not the first initiative taken by Hasan. He was recently in the news for having developed a serving robot in merely 15 days, which can take voice commands, follow a line and be set on automatic mode. Once again that project was an extension to the Swachh Bharat campaign.
The PM’s pet project aims to achieve the vision of a ‘Clean India’ by October 2, 2019.

The subsequent time I read a weblog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as much as this one.
