A head constable based out of Samod police station near Chaumu district of Rajasthan died of suicide by shooting himself with his service revolver. Jaipur Rural SP Shankar Dutt Sharma and Deputy Sandeep Saraswat immediately reached the spot on learning this news.
On Sunday, Shri Ram, who was the head constable, came to the police station at around 2 pm. He later removed his gun and kept it at the warehouse. According to the investigation, Ram shot himself the same night and his body was recovered from his residential quarter.
The investigation also revealed that since the air cooler sound was very loud, the neighbours were not able to hear the gunshot. Later, the incident was reported at the police station by around 6.30 am next morning.
Background
The head constable was disturbed over an ongoing dispute in his family. He was living alone in his police quarter. Though the reason for his suicide has not been disclosed officially yet, stress due family problems has been taken into consideration. No suicide note was found from the crime scene.
On receiving information about the incident, the FSL team reached the spot. SDM Abhishek Surana, Samod Sarpanch representative Bhagwan Sahai Girna, former District Councillor Mahendra Chaudhary, all reached the spot as well. The body was sent for post-mortem.
In another story, a man identified as Sarjeet took the extreme step of ending his life due to disputes with his wife, Babita in the Rangala Rajpur village of Haryana on Friday night. The police has filed a case based on the complaint filed by the deceased’s father who had said that his son was fed up of the fights and disputes with his wife and hence he decided to end his life.
In the complaint filed by the father, Billuram, it has been stated that the deceased married his wife few years ago and there used to be a frequent conflicts between the two. The complaint further added that the wife used to verbally abuse her husband on trivial issues every other day.
Since the past few days, Sarjeet was not able to cope with the stress and ended up killing himself. Investigation officer Sita Ram confirmed that a case has been filed against the wife on charges of abetment to suicide.
