Last week, Haryana police arrested a woman and three other accomplice in a false rape case. The gang had extorted a sum of Rs 5 lakh from a Retired Deputy Controller, a resident of Sector-17 Naaptol area.
Amit, a resident of Balsamband and also the grandson of the victim, has been held by the police with regards to plotting the case. Officials requested a remand of two days in the court, which has been granted.
At the same time, another accused identified as Kuldeep Singh and a woman involved in the case have also been arrested. They were presented in the court last Friday. Shockingly, the victim is said to be the relative of a former minister of Hisar.
Case:
City Station SHO, Richpal said that the co-accused and the grandson of the victim have been under interrogation. They have admitted to having extorted Rs 5 lakh from Amit’s grandfather.
The accused grandchild stated how his grandfather had tonnes of money but he wasn’t able to benefit from the same. Thus, he planned and convinced a young woman to be a part of his plan. Thereafter, the accused duo also managed to arrange for fake parents of the woman.
They then honey trapped the victim on pretext of making a ration card. The woman took the elderly man with her to her Rishi Nagar residence and introduced him to her parents. The man was then made to drink an intoxicating substance mixed with water after which he became unconscious.
When he returned to his senses, he witnessed that there were no clothes on his body. The accused fake father told the victim that he had allegedly raped his fake daughter. They also claimed to have his photos and videos in that state.
After this, they demanded Rs 10 lakh from the man and threatened him with a false rape case if he failed to pay them so.
After taking all accused into custody for two days, an amount of Rs 5 lakh was recovered from the accused grandson. Meanwhile interrogating the other two, the police checked on the important information available on their mobile phones used, and also questioned the woman with regards to her involvement in the crime.
