#WatchVideo | Elderly Woman Thrashed By Daughter-in-Law, Her Mother While Son Works In Saudi

A video went viral on Saturday where a Telangana woman and her mother are seen thrashing the woman’s mother-in-law. The same got captured on CCTV. While Hyderabad Police are probing the incident, the victim has been identified as one Tashanima Sultana, a resident of Mallepally area.

In a CCTV video that has surfaced online, one can see the elderly woman being assaulted by a younger woman and a second woman. According to police officials, accused number 1 is Tashanima Sultana’s daughter-in-law and accused number 2 is the daughter-in-law’s mother.

About The Video

The video shows the two accused grabbing the elderly victim’s hair, dragging her out of her home and thrashing her in broad daylight.

Shockingly, a young boy can be seen recording a video of the assault before accused number 1 Ujma Begum (daughter-in-law) asks him to go inside the house. Ujma Begum can then be seen thrashing the elderly woman as another woman joins the assault. At this time, the child can be seen recording a video of the brutal assault using a mobile phone.

The video was recorded on October 8 when a fight broke out between Ujma and Tashanima Sultana in Hyderabad’s Mallepally. As seen in the video, Ujma’s mother also joined her in assaulting the elderly Tashanima.

Case Background

Initial probe has revealed that Tashanima Sultana and Ahmed Saeed Khan’s son Ubaid Ali Khan has been working in Saudi for the past decade. Ubaid married his second wife Ujma Begum in 2019. He returned to Saudi a month after his second wedding.

It is being alleged that Ubaid’s second wife Ujma Begum had been troubling his elderly mother Tashanima Sultana since. The two women had also lodged complaints against each other at the Humayun Nagar police station.

Ujma in her defense told police that she was being harassed and not allowed to join her husband in Saudi or speak with him over the phone. She also alleged that electricity and water supply was stopped to her home, which led to her outrage.

Now, a fresh complaint has been filed in this regard with the Hyderabad Police and further investigation into the matter is underway.
