The man then carried the mother in his lap, took her to the SSP office, and pleaded for justice. Dr M. Tamil Vanan, SSP, assured him that justice will be done, and that they have also asked Bagbeda station in-charge to look into the matter.
As reported by Inside Jharkhand, the family members informed that the old woman was evicted from her house on November 26.
Uma Devi has two sons, the older son, Amar Kumar had died, whereas, the younger one, Dheeraj is divorced. He was out of town on the day of the incident.
On November 30, Dheeraj returned to his hometown only to find out that his mother and sister were assaulted. Uma Devi says that she will not go home until she gets justice.
