As Indian Men are getting vocal day-by-day to demand Gender Neutral Laws, a 20-year-old woman has been booked under Sections of POCSO for allegedly sexually abusing and assault a 17-year-old boy.
The matter has been reported from Dharavi in Mumbai, while the minor boy hails from Bihar.
Case:
On January 19 this year, the victim boy had come to Mumbai to visit his relative’s house and look for a job. After the accused woman learnt of this, she invited him over to her house in Dharavi to meet her parents. However, when the boy arrived, allegedly there was no one else in her home and the woman took advantage to force herself on him.
Shockingly, the woman has also filed a police complaint against the minor and his father, four uncles and a cousin for allegedly raping her.
Speaking with Mid-Day, a police officer said,
The girl asked the boy to do whatever she wanted to, failing which she threatened to file a case against him and his family. She called the boy to several places, including a lodge in Vashi, and allegedly sexually assaulted him.
The minor eventually narrated the ordeal to his parents, following which they came to Mumbai and told the woman to stay away.
Adding further, the police officer said,
The woman then left her house and started living with a friend. Last month, she approached Navi Mumbai police, complaining that the boy, his father, his four uncles and a cousin raped her.
Navi Mumbai police transferred the case to Dharavi police.
The minor’s family has secured anticipatory bail. They then approached Dharavi police alleging that the woman had abused their son and accordingly, the police registered a case against the woman.
Dharavi police is now currently probing both cases, as per the complaint filed by the accused woman against minor and his family and subsequent complaint by the minor boy against the accused woman.

The police are also tracking social media accounts of the woman and the minor, and have learnt that the two got acquainted with each other in September 2020 and had been chatting since then.
The woman allegedly proposed to the boy a number of times, but the boy rejected her and even blocked her. She later opened other profiles using different names and got in touch with him.
