Delhi Wife Kills Husband For Opposing Her Affair; Four Held Including Couple’s Minor Daughter

A woman in Delhi killed her husband after he opposed to her affair with another man. Four people, the woman, her paramount, her daughter, and her friend have been accused of the murder. The killing of the man was solved by the Delhi police with the help of a tattoo and fresh leaves on an unidentified body.

Background

The man has been allegedly killed by his wife and her lover in South Delhi’s Maidangarhi area recently. As per a report by the Times of India, the daughter of the couple and one of her friends, who are both minors, were also involved in the crime. According to the Delhi police, the deceased was aware of the unlawful affair, based on which he would beat his wife and their daughter after being drunk.

The deceased man has been identified as Mahender, who was also known as Sanjay Tanwar in his area. Police received a call on July 2 of a man’s body lying in a drain at Mahabalipuram. A tattoo of initials ‘ST’ was found on the man’s arm. However, the body was found covered in fresh leaves, and that made the cops think the man was murdered elsewhere.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, South, Atul Kumar Thakur spoke about the incident in detail. He said,

A car was found abandoned a kilometer away from the drain. On the basis of the registration papers, the body was identified as that of Mahender. He was also known as Sanjay Tanwar in the area. The deceased’s family was informed and the body’s postmortem conducted.

The four people accused in the crime are, Mahender’s wife, her lover Manoj, Mahender’s 16-year-old daughter and her female friend. They all are accused of Mahender’s murder.

According to the wife, the daughter has been blamed by her father for having feelings for her female classmate. She also helped the three to kill the man as per the police.

According to the officer privy to the investigation,

Often the couple would have fights and the deceased would trash her. Mahender even objected to their daughter having feelings for another female classmate who helped in the murder and has now been apprehended.

The murder was planned by the wife and her daughter. However, as per the reports, they subsequently added their partners in the crime.

Mahender was drunk on June 30, when the four strangled him using a dupatta. The accused then put his body in the car and dumped it later.
