A 30-year-old woman has been arrested by Thousand Lights police in Chennai, Tamil Nadu on the charges of damaging two luxury cars of her former employer on Sunday.
Since the employer in question is in the field of politics, the accused woman has been taken into judicial custody. Sadly, if the victim would have been a common man without power or influence, it could have been very difficult to even get the accused woman booked.
Here’s What Happened!
According to police, 30-year-old N Priyanka of Jayalakshmipuram in Nungambakkam was employed by one Sam Paul in his chain of salons, before she was forced to quit a year ago.
However, after being sacked, the woman would frequent the former employer’s residence at Rutland Gate, and create ruckus. She attempted to create havoc on Sunday night as well, when she reached Sam Paul’s house and hurled stones at two of his luxury cars in the parking lot. The car’s windshields were damaged in the attack.
Priyanka allegedly did so in retaliation since she was sacked from work.
Based on Sam Paul’s complaint, Thousand Lights police arrested Priyanka on Monday. She has been remanded in judicial custody.
Sam Paul had contested the Parliamentary elections on a PMK ticket from the Central Chennai constituency.
