Attention Misogyny Warriors | Canadian Woman Walks Husband On Leash As Dogs Allowed In Curfew

In a bizarre and demeaning incident, a husband and wife in Canada were fined $1500 each after the woman was found ‘walking’ the man on a leash.

The incident occurred in Canada’s Quebec on Saturday night when the woman was caught walking her husband on a leash like a dog at 9 pm, an hour after coronavirus curfew was imposed.

Here’s What Happened

The 8 pm curfew was imposed by Quebec premier Francois Legault, premier of Quebec in Canada, to contain rising cases of COVID-19. On January 9, a woman and her husband were found breaking the curfew.

When asked by cops why she was breaking the curfew, she said that she was within curfew rules to walk outside of her house till 1 km to walk her dog outside of curfew hours. When cops pointed out that her husband was not a dog, the woman reportedly protested.

Both husband and wife have been $1500 (Rs 1,09,934) each, even though the woman has reportedly refused to pay the fine. The report added,

When questioned by police, the couple said they were happy to receive the ticket and claimed they were following the rules set forth by Premier Francois Legault.

News from Quebec:

I just confirmed with Sherbrooke police that a husband and wife were fined for walking after curfew with the man on a leash. The officer told me her defense was she is allowed to walk a dog after curfew.

Montreal Gazette reported,

One of them had the other on a leash, and she said she was taking her dog, pointing to her partner, out on a walk, as allowed under the exceptions provided by Quebec’s premier under its curfew law.

COVID In Quebec

Quebec officials have said people may walk their dogs after the 8 pm curfew, provided they stay within one kilometre of their house. Quebec is wrestling with more than 2,500 COVID-19 cases a day, a surge that threatens to increase hospitalisations beyond their spring peak in the next few weeks.

The province imposed a curfew starting Saturday and extended an existing lockdown through Feb 8 to curb the spread of the coronavirus, as it worked to speed up a vaccination campaign to counter soaring cases of COVID-19.

Reverse the Genders

Most of the readers would have had a great laugh by now, because whenever a man is ill-treated, the same is somehow ‘funny’. Now lets reverse the genders and visualise for a moment, if a man would have chained his wife and took her for a stroll as a female dog…….The reactions would have resulted in endless patriarchy, misogyny, sexism blogs across the globe by feminist media and even simps in general.
