Beti Bachao campaign is being shamed by some Daughters of India, where they are going to any extent if their demands are not met. While many have been striking at their husbands and in-laws with fake cases, some are not even sparing their own parents.
A shocking case of double murder has been reported from Kanpur, where an elderly couple was found dead on Tuesday morning. The police has arrested their daughter in connection with these murders.
Case:
Munna Lal Uttam (62) and his wife Raj Devi (55) were murdered with their throats slit. Their bodies were recovered from separate rooms on the ground floor of their house on Tuesday morning. The couple lived with their son Anoop and adopted daughter Komal.

Initially, Anoop suspected involvement of his wife Akanksha and in-laws in his parents’ murder, as all was not well between them. In his complaint, Anoop alleged that a family dispute was going on with his wife and his brother-in-law Mayank. He went on to further allege that his wife’s family members had demanded Rs 50 lakh from them.
Thus, Anoop had accused his brother-in-law and a samosa seller of the area of his parents’ murder.
Joint Police Commissioner Anand Kulkarni earlier informed media that prima facie it appeared that the couple had been murdered using a sharp weapon. The dead bodies were sent for post-mortem.

Not Son’s In-Laws, But Daughter Main Suspect
With a twist in the case, the police on Tuesday arrested the daughter of the deceased in connection with murder of her parents. According to the police, the daughter, her boyfriend – Rahul Uttam, who is posted with the Army in Mumbai – along with his brother hatched the conspiracy to kill her parents.
Police informed media, that the couple had physical relations before the murder. When the boyfriend’s brother hesitated in executing the murder, the daughter herself took charge and murdered her parents.
Komal was also planning to kill her brother Anoop, but later dropped the plan. The accused woman had decided to murder her parents and implicate her brother in the matter.

Murder & Motive
Komal had given juice mixed with intoxicants to her parents and brother on Monday night to proceed with the murder plan.
Prima facie, it appeared that Komal had killed her parents because they were opposing her marriage to her boyfriend and to gain sole ownership of property worth crores, police said.
During the initial interrogation, Komal had said that she had seen three masked men running away from the house. Komal had also accused her sister-in-law’s brother of killing her parents.
Komal had said that her sister-in-law’s brother, who lived in the area, had demanded a compensation of Rs 50 lakh and threatened to destroy the family if the demand was not met.
However, based on the CCTV footage and evidence found on the spot, the police solved the matter in 10 hours. The CCTV footage showed a young man entering the house late at night. The police identified the man as Komal’s boyfriend.

Victims Wanted A Daughter
Munna Lal & Raj Devi only had one son. The duo wanted to have a daughter, and thus adopted Komal – who happens to be daughter of Munna Lal’s brother Ram Kumar. Lal took up her responsibility, including a promise to get her married.
The above case is very unfortunate, and also a blot on several women victims. Crime Has No Gender…
