Reham Khan, the 45-year-old British-Pakistani author, journalist and former wife of Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan has authored a blog for Shekhar Gupta’s news portal The Print, which has been published today.
The blog is titled :
Why Boris Johnson reminds me of my ex-husband Imran Khan: Reham Khan
Cocaine, women, childhood insecurity, Oxford and a need to be in the spotlight – all unite UK’s new PM Boris Johnson and Pakistan PM Imran Khan.
There is absolutely no problem with the article since it is the opinion of the writer and must be respected in the spirit it deserves.
However, Reham chooses to post the article from her personal handle with a caption:
Two divorces, a love child and infidelity!!!! No, I am not talking about Imran Khan, the playboy international cricketer and now Prime Minister of Pakistan, nor am I talking about US President Donald Trump.

Imran was 62 while she was 42, a second marriage for both of them in January 2015. However, the Pakistani cricket star turned politician, had announced his divorce from Reham within 10 months of marriage. Via his tweet on Oct 30, 2015, Imran had requested everyone to allow the couple their due privacy and also tweeted how he held Reham in high respect.
I have the greatest respect for Reham’s moral character & her passion to work for & help the underprivileged.
This is a painful time for me & Reham & our families. I would request everyone to respect our privacy.

In happier times, when Reham was asked about being forced to cover her head after marriage, she had quoted:
No, not at all. He’s not the type to force you to do anything. In fact, I said to him, Imran, I’m marrying you because people don’t know what a wonderful human being you are. I think people have no idea what he’s like. He’s an extremely shy person; he’s not manipulative, he’s not cunning, and what you see is what you get. He doesn’t play games.
The impression I had of him was that he was aggressive and hot-tempered but that’s far from the truth. He’s very forgiving and if someone makes a mistake, he overlooks it at once. Especially our employees. One would think he’s an arrogant celebrity, but he’s extremely down-to-earth.
From the above it is well established that Reham knew what she was getting into and also believed that Imran was a gentleman then.
However, post her marriage, she has been on a spree tarnishing her former husband’s image, either by authoring her book titled ‘Reham Khan’ which she published in July last year, just before the onset of General elections in Pakistan. Arguably, the 10-month-long marriage to Khan was the most discussed topic in the book. Taking a different stance post her divorce, she wrote:
Though he had been admired by countless Pakistanis, I had never paid much attention to Imran Khan.
Our Take
- Well, we are no one to judge what transpired between the couple in the less than a year marriage, however, we want to question whether it is right for the lady to keep commenting on her former husband publicly, even after three and a half years of their divorce?
- Sometimes things can go horribly wrong between a couple and then you choose to part ways mutually
- However, is it right for anyone to take potshots continuously at an ex-spouse, either for publicity or some motivated reasons?
- How would the society take an Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Hrithik Roshan or Farhan Akhtar writing such scandalous articles about their ex-wives?
- Wouldn’t the society immediately start shaming them because they lowered the dignity of a ‘woman’?
- Well in that case, what happens to the dignity of the ‘Man’?
- We are not judging either Imran nor Reham, we are only questioning the right allowed to a woman to constantly slam and abuse a man in the name of empowerment
Below were some of the reactions that Reham’s current tweet has attracted:
Never seen such a frustrated lady before!
Not only Boris johnson, everything reminds you of Imran khan. Your envy is valid as your dreams of becoming first lady shattered, and that because of your own filthy nature coz IK is living a contented life. If some1 has twinge, its you.— Saira Anwer (@SairaAnwer1) July 25, 2019
Why did u marry a playboy, father of a love child.. ??

Continuous rant against Khan shows that he was the only high point in your life which u miss. Also shows his and urs upbringing as he has never said any thing about you despite the filth coming out of you. What a loss @ZartashChaudhry @KlasraRauf @ImranKhanPTI @PTIforlife
