Chaudhary was married to Shweta Tiwari for seven years & the two got officially divorced in 2012. He met Palak in Mumbai only recently. As per the father, he last saw his daughter when she was a baby. Tiwari’s first ex-husband, in an interview with TOI, said he missed witnessing his daughter grow up. Quoting Raja, he said,
I really missed all the things a father would want to enjoy with his daughter- her growing up, her school, her likes and dislikes.
Raja did credit his ex-wife Shweta for bringing up their daughter beautifully and said,
But when I met her today, I realised my daughter Palak has turned out to be a beautiful girl, it’s all thanks to my ex-wife Shweta Tiwari. I am really happy now.
Palak and Raja Chaudhary enjoyed their meeting and didn’t discuss the past. Raja told TOI,
There were no grudges between us nor did we discuss our past. There were only pyaar bhari talks between us. I told her about my side of the family — her dada-dadi, chacha-chachi, etc. She was excited to know about them and told me that she will soon come to visit us all. It is a new phase for both of us. I am still that ever caring and loving father for her.
Within few days of this meeting, Shweta Tiwari gave a fresh interview to Bollywood Bubble claiming,
(Palak) saw me getting beaten up, she saw women coming. She has seen everything when she was just 6 years old and I had decided to take this step. Palak has seen all that trauma, police coming to the house, her mom going to the police.
Adding further with regards to her separation from second husband Abhinav Kohli, Shweta said,
My son, he is just 4 years old and he knows about police, judges and it is not just because of me.
Tiwari also said that her choices of Men had impacted her children and that she felt she couldn’t protect Palak and Reyansh (son from Abhinav) from what they went through. However, Shweta added that she had to take those decisions ‘to get out of the mess’ she was in. Quoting to the digital platform she said,
I know my kids are in this mess because of me. It’s because I chose the wrong men. That was my fault, not theirs. But they are going through this, with me, strong and smiling. I never tell them, ‘don’t miss your fathers’. I never tell them don’t talk to them. But they don’t and I don’t know why. Because they get scared, they are scared of this trauma, they want to be happy and I don’t blame them for it.
Palak Tiwari is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Rosie: The Saffron Chapter, a mystery thriller starring by Vivek Anand Oberoi, Girish Johar, Kussum Arora, Reshabh D Saraf, Keyur Pandya and Sanjeet S. Yermal.
Meanwhile Tiwari’s second husband Abhinav Kohli has alleged that Shweta had been absconding with their son Reyansh and that he was not even allowed to know where his son was. Few months ago, Abhinav spoke exclusively to Men’s Day Out, sharing his side of the story.
