Rape case threats have become extremely rampant in society, primarily because there is barely any punishment for filing false rape charges.
A strange case unfolded when a woman threatened a man by entering into his PG and demanded money. Not just that, but she also said that she would file a false rape case against him if he did not give her the amount she demanded.
The incident took place in Kumbhara district of Mohali when a woman entered a young man’s PG on pretext of extreme weather conditions outside. The man let her inside his apartment with the sole intention of helping her. However, after entering his room, the woman told him that her father was posted as DSP in Hoshiyarpur. She then demanded Rs 10,000 from him, stating that if he wouldn’t cough up the sum amount, she would end up filing a complaint against him and get him arrested.

The man was shocked and scared and immediately asked her to leave the room. However, the woman left the place and began to call somebody. She informed the person over a call, that the man forcibly took her inside his room and raped her. The woman was getting totally out of control and hence, the man made a call himself to the police control room.
Without further delay, he also called upon the owner of his PG to narrate everything that had happened. The man went to Phase-8 police station in Mohali to complain against the accused. Meanwhile, the con woman escaped from the place herself. Applying his presence of mind, the youth filed a complaint from his side, however, due to independence day, the entire force was on duty that day, as informed by Rajneesh Chaudhary, police in-charge.
Chaudhary claimed that an investigation will be conducted and the woman will be punished according to the facts that will come up in the case.
Here Is What Actually Happened
The man, identified as Rahul Mehta, mentioned that he had come to Kumbhara only a couple of days ago as he had rented the PG after he moved to the town. A woman who is allegedly in her early 30s approached Mehta and asked if any room had been vacant. Rahul had informed the woman to refer to the board which was hanging outside, that mentioned the phone number of the owner of the house. He asked her to call the lessor directly and avail any information she needed.
The woman, however, insisted that she was hungry and requested him if he had anything to eat. To this, Rahul informed her that he didn’t have anything to eat but could offer her a cold drink. The woman subsequently had another request, where she said that she was not feeling well in the sun outside, and thus if she could come inside his room and rest for few minutes.
The man was generous enough and allowed her in to make her feel comfortable, however, within only five minutes, she started threatening him to file a false rape case and demanded money from him.
According to local police officials, the woman has a history of forcefully entering into young boys’ PG and extorting money from them. However, despite this being in knowledge of the police, the woman still roams free.
