On Monday, a charred body of a 28-year-old man was found near the Kumar cinema hall in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. After an investigation was launched by UP Police, Shailesh Pandey, senior superintendent of police (SSP) of Bareilly, announced a cash reward of Rs 15,000 for solving the case within 24-hours.
Once the reward was announced, additional SP (crime) RK Bhartiya and his team started searching for suspects and collecting evidence. Within 24 hours, the cops managed to track down two persons who murdered the 28-year-old man.

Case:
- The deceased was identified as Yogesh Saxena
- Saxena has been in a relationship with one Uma Shukla for past 8-years
- According to an investigation, Uma was married however in 2014, Uma she had moved out of her husband’s house and started living separately
- Uma had also filed a dowry harassment case against her husband
- Once she moved out of her matrimonial home, she began her courtship with Yogesh
- However, another twist emerged in this love story when Uma wanted to get married but Yogesh had asked her to wait
- Yogesh could not get married as his elder sister was not married
- After Yogesh asked Uma to wait, she allegedly decided to kill him
- Since she was desperate to get remarried, Uma took the decision of marrying Sunil, a local storekeeper
- Shockingly now Uma wanted to murder Yogesh and get married to Sunil

How Did The Murder Take Place?
On Sunday, Uma called Yogesh to meet him near his shop around 9.30 pm. During this time, her current beau Sunil was waiting to attack Yogesh. When Yogesh arrived at the spot, Sunil sprayed red chilli powder in his eyes and slit his throat.
After attacking Yogesh, Sunil fled the spot and met Uma who was waiting outside a private hospital. After some time, the couple (Uma and Sunil) returned to the spot where Yogesh had been attacked to ensure that he had succumbed. After checking that Yogesh had indeed died, the two accused also burned his body after pouring petrol on it.

After completing the investigation, the police booked the two accused under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Additional SP crime also said that they had added Section 201 (causing disappearance of evidence) under the Indian Penal Code against the accused because they attempted to dump the dead body by burning it.
