48-Year-Old Man Dies By Suicide In Aurangabad Due To Alleged False Molestation Accusation

A man from Maharashtra ended his life four days ago, due to alleged false molestation case. The family and acquaintances of the victim reached police station with the body and protested until they registered a case against the accused. 

However, all 25-30 people who protested outside the CIDCO police station in Aurangabad have now been booked.

Case:

Lakhan Singh Rajput, who was a resident of Triveni Nagar, died by suicide on September 5 by hanging himself to death. After conducting a post mortem, victim’s body was handed over to his family.

It is alleged that Rajput misbehaved with a woman on the street, after which a group of 30-40 people entered his home and beat him up. The 48-year-old man could not bear the insult of the alleged false case and hanged himself to death.

Lakhan was sitting outside his house on Sunday afternoon, when a woman accused him of misbehaviour. The now deceased man, got very scared and pleaded to the woman to end the matter. When the woman’s family learnt of this incident, they rushed into Lakhan’s house and thrashed him. The victim’s family has also suspected murder and not suicide. 

After taking the body from the hospital, a group of 25-30 persons reached outside the police station (with the body) demanding immediate arrest of all those who compelled Rajput to end his life. The group was also allegedly raising slogans. The officers assured them of action and asked them to return, however, the crowd did not move. Thus, the police was left with no choice but to book them all.
