Last year, in another story, a woman from Kharar district of Punjab identified as Sandeep Kaur brutally assaulted her mother-in-law, identified as Surjit Kaur in a fit of revenge as the in-laws had evicted her from their house.
Until 2016, the quarrels had become normal for the family. However, when Surjit’s husband (father-in-law) decided to evict Sandeep (daughter-in-law) from their home, the fights went out of control.
On February 21, 2020, Sandeep attacked Surjit and left the home. The victim somehow had managed to call her son Vikram who rushed her to a hospital. This was not the first time the woman had physically attacked her mother-in-law. A similar incident had also occurred in March 2017. The cops later registered a case against the woman.
