We are in the age of tech, and no matter whatever phase of life we are in, it is very easy for con women/men to trap us misusing such technology. One very common practice that exits in society, is the blackmailer gang, which traps men through “Nude Call”, and threatens to file false rape case.

Here’s What Happened
Amit Lakhani, who also happens to head Men Welfare Trust in Delhi, got random whatsapp messages from an unknown number last night, around 12am.
The display picture of the number had a photograph of a woman, who started sending messages such as:
How are you? Kaha se ho ji? Dosti karo ji humse…( Where are you from, why don’t you become friends with me…)
Later, even before Amit could ask more questions, the woman said,
Akele ho ji aap…. Video call karti hoon ji….(You are alone, let me make a video call)
Not just this, the woman then went on to say,
Baby ji, aapko bhi dikhana padega….Main kapde utaar rahi hoon, aap bhi utaariye na…(You will also have to turn nude, I am taking off my clothes…)
When Amit answered the call, he was shocked to see the woman nude. He immediately disconnected the same.
Amit then went on to share this incident on twitter, posting screen shots of the whatsapp chat and tagged Delhi police. He wrote:
Our helpline often get calls from men who get honey trapped & blackmailed by these women in a very organised manner, complaints have been made in the past but nothing happens. Today I got a what’s app message from a random number & I’m expecting some action @CPDelhi @DCPDwarka
These women generally call late in the night, try to be friendly with you and then make a video call. She followed the same modus operandi and called me & of course I kept my cam facing the roof. To my surprise she was naked on the call & I disconnected immediately. @EOWDelhi
People who’ve called us in the past told that they would screen record ur face/video, edit it with other porn videos & send you in minutes and then the blackmailing begins. This is to caution men from getting trapped & to @DelhiPolice for filing FIR & taking necessary action n/n

While Delhi police did not take action, they replied saying,
If you think you have been a victim of cyber crime, please lodge your grievances/complaint on the cyber crime reporting portal cybercrime.gov.in.
Amit once again replied to them expressing,
Sexual harassment of men or outraging modesty of men is not a crime in India & I was cautious enough & the crime of blackmailing/ extortion was prevented but if such elements are allowed to be active, they will continue & commit the crime elsewhere so this should be checked IMO
It is important for all young and not so young men to understand the consequences of such incidents, before falling for 2-minute pleasure trap. Even if you fall in such a trap, do not get threatened or blackmailed. Immediately report the matter in cyber cell along with mobile number from where you received the call.
