Noida Shocker | Mother, Daughters, Their Boyfriends Attempt To Murder Family Who Opposed Marriage

In a shocking case reported from Greater Noida, a woman, her two daughters along with their boyfriends, have been arrested for an alleged plot to poison four other family members, including her husband, two minor sons aged 13 and 14 years and septuagenarian mother-in-law.

All the accused have been booked and sent to judicial custody as of now.

Case:

According to police, mother Rajkumari (45) had allegedly teamed up with her daughters, Jyoti (21) and Archana (20), and their respective boyfriends Deepak Singh (22) and Abhishek (23) to plot the murder of family members who objected to the girls marrying their partners.

The five accused planned to attack Rajkumari’s husband Devendra (50), mother-in-law Reena Devi (75) and two sons — who did not approve of the alliance.

Speaking with TOI, Additional DCP (Greater Noida) Vishal Pandey said,

On May 16, a villager informed us that four members of a family were found unconscious at their home following which a police team took the four to a hospital. During the investigation, we found that three other members of the family were missing.

The victims were served poison-laced food for dinner on Sunday and were found unconscious at their Junaidpur village house by a neighbour the next morning. The victims are still undergoing treatment at a private hospital but are out of danger, police said.

Attempt To Murder

As per the statement given by police to media, Pandey said,

During interrogation, they told police that Devendra and his mother Reena Devi did not want Jyoti and Archana to marry their boyfriends Abhishek and Deepak and so the five hatched a plan to kill all four of them and elope.

While Deepak had purchased the bottle of poison from Sikandrabad, Rajkumari and her daughters had laced the dinner with it and served it to the four others on Sunday night.

SHO of Dankaur police station Radha Raman Singh told TOI,

While their plan was to kill the other family members, Archana had allegedly reduced the dosage of the pills because of which the victims only lost consciousness around 10 pm on May 15.

Around midnight, Rajkumari and her daughters were picked up by Deepak and Abhishek in a car and taken to rented accommodation in Noida’s Sector 58.

On Tuesday, cops arrested Rajkumari, Jyoti and Archana along with their partners Abhishek and Deepak from the Kanarsi bridge in Dankaur while they were trying to flee to Sikandrabad.

The accused have been arrested under Indian Penal Code under:

• Section 120B (party to criminal conspiracy)
• Section 328 (causing hurt with poison)
• Section 307 (attempt to murder)

and have been sent to 14 days judicial custody.
