Nagpur Housewife Dies By Suicide As Husband Did Not Buy Dining Table

A 42-year-old woman from Nagpur, Maharashtra died by suicide by hanging herself at home. The deceased, who lived in Hudkeshwar area, was upset because her husband did not buy her a dining table.

Case:

Sangeeta Patil wanted her husband Rajan Patil to buy a dining table for the home. When the husband suggested that he would do it on a later date, the wife got triggered and hanged herself in her house. 

Sangeeta was alone in the apartment on the day of the incident, while the children were outside. The homemaker hanged herself by tying a veil on the ceiling fan on November 6, between 3.30pm and 4 pm. On receiving the information, sub-inspector of Hudkeshwar police station reached the spot along with his colleagues. The body was sent to a government hospital for post-mortem after doing panchnama (A record of witness testimony, usually prepared by the police, during the investigation of a crime or after a death).

Accidental Death Registered

Rajan Patil works at a private firm. On the day of the incident, Sangeeta insisted her husband to buy a new dining table in the house. However, Rajan informed her that he would do so after 2-3 days and left home. As the children were not at home, Sangeeta took this opportunity to end her life. A case of accidental death has been registered.
