A 24-year-old woman has been arrested by the Mumbai police for molesting a 15-year-old boy. The accused woman was staying at the victim’s house as a paying guest.
According to the complaint given by the boy’s mother, the woman first befriended her son and then sexually abused him. The accused woman had been living as a paying guest at the victim’s house since September and the crime occurred before leaving her room in early November.
According to the boy’s mother, the woman is working at a shopping center and also has a son.
However, the accused woman’s lawyer has denied all the allegations. He claimed that the allegations were levelled after a dispute over a flat rent.
The woman had gone absconding after a complaint was registered. On December 2, the Goregaon police arrested her under POCSO charges. She was produced in court which remanded her to police custody.

In another news reported in 2018, Hyderabad police had booked a 45-year-old woman in Andhra Pradesh for sexually abusing a 14-year-old boy.
The victim’s family had alleged that the accused, a widow from the past seven years, was a neighbour who was residing alone. She had been living alone in the residence since her husband passed away.
According to the report, the first sexual abuse happened on May 5 in Vijayawada’s Vambay colony.
It was however on June 7 that the victim’s mother caught the accused woman trying to rape her son and reported the matter to the police. The victim said the accused had forced him for the first time on May.
