A young man from Sant Kabirnagar area in Uttar Pradesh died under mysterious circumstance. However, later his suicide video was recovered where he had accused his in-laws of giving him poison.
The family members of the the deceased man have also accused the in-laws of murder.
Case:
Deepak, son of Pawan Kumar, a resident of Barela village, got married to Reena, daughter of Jagram Chaudhary, a resident of Jigna village, in 2012. However, even after eight years of marriage, domestic disputes continued between the couple.
One of the main reasons for their frequent fights was because Deepak stayed at home and did some agriculture work, which was disliked by Reena.
Alleged Murder
On September 6, Deepak went to his in-laws’ house for some work. Sometime later, victim made a call to his friends from his in-laws’ home and informed them that he was poisoned. He requested them to come and take him to a hospital.
Deepak’s friends immediately rushed him to a medical centre at Gorakhpur where he was given treatment. However, Deepak did not survive.
Before breathing his last, the victim recorded a video on his mobile accusing his father-in-law and brother-in-law of slapping him and forcibly giving him poison. Police have registered a case and started investigation.
Investigation So Far
Deepak’s father has filed a case against his deceased son’s in-laws in Khalilabad police station. On receiving the complaint, the police have registered a case under section 302 and 120B of IPC.
According to the victim’s father, Deepak was their only son. The father informed police that the culprits need to arrested immediately, as they have been allegedly giving death threats to Deepak’s family. The father said that if arrest was not made soon, they would be murdered as well.
According to the police, they are awaiting the viscera report. Arrests will be made once the report is received.
