Yet another shocking case of #HusbandMurder has been reported from Punjab where a woman, her daughters and wife’s sisters allegedly set the man on fire.
Case:
55-year-old man Som Singh, a resident of Kotla Nodh village, Hoshiyarpur, was burned alive by his wife, daughters, and sisters-in-law. The brother of the deceased doubted his brother to have been murdered and thus lodged a case with Bulowal police against all accused.
Subsequently, an investigation was undertaken after Som Singh’s brother Satnam Singh had recorded his statements in this regard on December 3. According to SHO Pradeep Singh, Satnam had called his sister-in-law Jaspreet Kaur who informed him that it was their daughter’s birthday on the same day and that some guests were going to arrive soon at home.
When Singh asked for his brother, she said he was sleeping. However, on the same very day, the village sarpanch received a call that Som Singh had died due to fire in his car. The deceased’s brother has directly blamed his brother’s wife, daughters and sisters-in-law to have been involved in the murder.
SHO Singh said that a case has been registered against all five women, however, currently all of them are absconding.
