Woman Mortgaged Her Mangalsutra To Get Husband Killed With Help Of Paramour
Case:
45-year-old Manchak Govind Pawar, a resident of Renapur in Latur, was killed by his wife Gangabai (37) and two accomplices to grab a life insurance cover of Rs 1 crore.
Here’s What Happened
On June 11, Pawar’s body was found on Beed Pimpergawan Road on the Ahmednagar Highway. The police initiated an investigation into the matter, reported Times Now.
The accused wife later attempted to pass off the murder as an accident.
Police Investigation
During interrogation, police found the wife’s statement to be suspicious. They took her into custody where she confessed to committing the crime, along with two others, to claim his insurance money.
During the investigation, it was found that the victim was brutally hit on the head because of which he died. The wife hired the killers and paid them Rs 2 lakh each to carry out the crime.
A case has been registered under the relevant sections of the IPC and all the accused have been arrested.
