A shocking incident has been reported from the state of Madhya Pradesh, where a 24-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly abducting her husband’s niece and sexually exploiting her.
The accused woman has been booked under Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code.
Case:
A 24-year-old woman from Khargone in Madhya Pradesh allegedly abducted her husband’s 16-year-old niece, “married” her and sexually exploited her, reported PTI.
While the incident took place on February 27, the accused, along with the minor, was nabbed and brought back last week, post which she was arrested on Monday. Speaking with PTI, Barud police station in charge Ritesh Yadav said:
The victim’s statement was recorded in court during the day. The accused married a man from Umarkhali village a year ago. She later had physical relations with the man’s niece.
Adding further, Yadav said:
The accused has told us she is a lesbian. She had taken the victim to Dhamnod and Indore. There she started living with the victim like husband and wife.
