Konkona Sen Sharma and Ranvir Shorey have reportedly filed for a divorce. The couple had parted ways firve years ago and the decision was taken with mutual understanding. The decree is expected to come through within six months.
A source revealed to an entertainment portal that the former couple’s divorce is one of the most ‘amicable divorces’ ever.
Konkona and Ranvir got married in September 2010 after dating for three years. They welcomed a baby boy in March 2011 and named him Haroon. Konkona was apparently already pregnant when the duo decided to tie the knot.
However, things didn’t unfold as planned and within five years, the husband and wife announced their decision to part ways via social media. They also then said that they would continue to remain friends and co-parent their son together.

Now, after living separately for nearly half a decade, the couple has officially filed for divorce by mutual consent. It is also being said that Konkona and Ranvir underwent detailed counselling but both of them decided to part ways.
In September 2015, Konkona took to Twitter and shared the news.

This is about my recent announcement of separation. Yes, we have separated mutually. But I still believe in the institution of marriage.
I understand because of my recent separation this question is coming up (of belief in marriage). But I don’t think the institution of marriage has anything to do in that. I only blame myself for that (the split).
The couple had dated each other for nearly three years before getting hitched. However, breakdown is marriage is not something one can foresee, but in case the ties cannot be mended, its best to part ways for newer beginnings.
