Domestic Violence On Men | In-Laws Caught On CCTV Thrashing Son-in-Law & His Mother

On Sunday, in-laws of a man entered his house and started beating him up at his Patiala residence in the state of Punjab. They not just beat him up, but also threatened to kill him. Bakshiwala Police have filed a case against Sachin Kumar, a resident of New Sanitary Colony, and Basant and Ramesh, residents of Darshana Colony Patiala, with regards to the matter.

Case:

Surendra Kumar, son of Rajesh Kumar, and a resident of Babu Singh Colony, informed police that his in-laws entered his home and beat him up. Surendra also said that the reason his in-laws barged into his house was due to a quarrel he had with his wife. The husband has also accused his in-laws of threatening to murder him.

According to reports, Surendra’s mother intervened to rescue her son, while her daughter-in-law’s family was beating him. However, while she was unable to save her son, the in-laws started beating her as well. Fortunately, the entire incident has been captured on the CCTV camera.

After the horrific incident, the man was taken to Rajindra Government Hospital and was admitted there in an
injured condition. Bakshiwala police subsequently started the investigation.

In a similar story reported from Ahmedabad, a man thrashed his son-in-law after he complained about his wife (the man’s daughter) to him. The incident dates back to October 2017, where Pravin Patni, the son-in-law was rushed to a hospital in Ahmedabad after he was beaten up mercilessly by his father-in-law.

Bapurnagar police station registered an offense against the father-in-law, Mangabhai Patni, and his son Suresh, who also accompanied in beating the man.

Pravin, who was an auto-driver and lived in Chandkheda, had a fight with his wife three days before, after which he complained about the same to his in-laws. However, without much solution from them, they chose to thrash him instead. A police official the quoted to TOI,

Pravin thought that he should complain about the behaviour of his wife to her father, Manga Patni, who lives in Thakkarnagar. He had gone there to complain. However, he got beaten up instead. 

The official added, how the brother-in-law too joined in. He said,

Not only the father-in-law, but the brother-in-law also stood up to beat up Pravin. Then they drove Pravin in an auto to one of his relative’s place who got him admitted to Shardaben Hospital. We have arrested Manga and his son, Suresh.

In yet another story reported from Rajasthan, Rahul, a PWD officer got beaten up by his father-in-law in the middle of a street. Ramkishan from Alwar thrashed and verbally abused his son-in-law in front of the PWD office. The man not only beat his son-in-law but also threatened to kill him which got captured in a video recording. The father-in-law was caught on camera saying,

I will insert a 4-feet long knife in your body.

According to reports, Rahul’s wife used to rightfully take half his salary. According to father-in-law, Rahul would allegedly beat his wife whenever, she did not return his money.

Everytime a wife or a daughter is beaten up by husband or in-laws, we go all out to outrage demanding justice. But when a son or a husband gets beaten up, we justify how he deserved the same — for various reasons — for the benefit of the women.
