In August 2017, an IAS officer of Buxar district decided to end his life as he was ‘fed up with life’ and his belief in “human existence has gone”, as mentioned in his long suicide note. According to police investigations, 29-year-old Mukesh Pandey ended his life due to marital discord.

My detailed suicide note is kept in a Nike bag in room 742 of a five-star hotel in Delhi. I’m sorry, I love you all! Please forgive me.
