A shoe artisan died on the night of September 11 in Sikandra area of Agra in a road accident. What was projected as an accident by the wife and her lover, later turned out to be a murder.
The victim, identified as Gulab Singh, a resident of Nagla Sohanlal, was found lying on the highway near his residence at 4am on September 12. The construction of the bridge on the highway is underway. People near the neighbourhood informed police about the dead body.
The body was sent for post-mortem, after which the report showed head and leg injuries. The cops informed that such injuries do happen in road accidents. Although, the police suspected wife’s role in the victim’s murder. They believed that Singh could not leave the house at 4am without reason. While this angle was being investigated, the victim’s father Mavasiram filed a complaint at the police station.
Police Investigation
As informed by SSP Bablu Kumar, expert opinions were taken regarding the post-mortem report. The victim’s family and his wife both had filed cases accusing each other. Inspector Arvind Kumar, in-charge of the Sikandra police station, was instructed to investigate the case.
Officials revealed that co-accused Sunny, a resident of Nagla Sohanlal, was a frequent visitor in Singh’s house. Thereafter, cops found out about the accused man’s mobile number.
