The murder case of a security supervisor from Sarona BSUP Colony, Raipur, was solved by local police within 48-hours of the man’s death. According to the officials, the victim was murdered by his wife and her lover.
The accused woman has admitted to her crime.
Case:
Kanchan Shukla, 35, wanted her husband to sell his Rs 50 lakh property in Rewa. The woman also wanted to live an affluent lifestyle and thus pressurised her husband Vinay Shankar Shukla, 38, to sell the property. When the man constantly refused to do so, the wife, along with her 21-year-old lover, planned to eliminate Vinay.
The deceased was a security supervisor at a car showroom. He had rented a house in Sarona. The cops have arrested the wife on charges of murder, while the lover and her co-worker are on the run.
Shukla’s father was a sub-inspector in the police. After the demise of victim’s father, his brother too soon died and Vinay was the only heir left in the family. He sold all his father’s property and retained just one, which his wife pestered him to sell.
Marriage
Vinay got married to Kanchan after he had disposed off his family’s properties. He then moved to Rewa and started a new life for himself and his wife too started working in the same city.
Suddenly, within a few months of marriage, Kanchan started pressurizing Vinay to sell the last property in his possession so that they could start a business of their own. However, husband realised that his wife wanted money only to fulfil her expensive desires.
Later, Vinay moved out of Rewa and came to Raipur for work. This led to further tension in the already estranged relationship between the couple.

Kanchan made a plan with her co-worker Marakachan to kill Vinay. She also involved her paramour Hariom Kushwaha and on December 8, the accused reached Raipur.
The wife did not know her husband’s address, and thus called up his niece to enquire about the same. They then headed to the showroom where Vinay was currently working. Seeing his wife suddenly, the victim took off from his work and both proceeded to his residence.
After dinner, once again there was a dispute between Kanchan and Vinay about the said property. While Vinay remained adamant, the woman and Hariom caught hold of him and banged his head towards the wall.
When the husband fell unconscious, the duo again attacked him with a heavy object, and later the wife also strangled him to death.
Cover Up
On the night of the incident, the accused duo closed the door of the deceased’s residence and left for Bilaspur. Thereafter, on the morning of December 10, they reached Rewa. The wife then made some acquaintance call all relatives informing them that Vinay had been found unconscious in his house at Raipur.
However, the man’s niece spilled the beans informing cops that Kanchan had enquired about Vinay’s whereabouts and address.
On the basis of this statement, the police learnt that the wife was trying to mislead them. Kanchan also refused that she had visited Raipur, however, the neighbours of the deceased confirmed that the woman had indeed visited the victim and also used their washroom when their own home ran out of water.
Kanchan has been arrested, while the other two accused are missing.
