Some stories can be devastating, especially when the truth unfolds for parents. One such case has been reported from Gujarat where a man had died by suicide in April 2020 and the reason was unknown to anyone. Incidentally, the victim had penned a suicide note in April 2019, which his mother only discovered now in January 2020 while cleaning his cupboard.
The details in the note indicated that the man was ending his life due to his wife’s adulterous actions along with her paramour. Both the accused have been booked for abetting the suicide.
Case:
Leela Jadhav, the mother of the deceased, lost her 42-year-old married son, Mahesh, when he ended his life on April 9, 2020 by jumping into Narmada canal. However, the mother had been clueless about what would have happened to her son that he took this extreme step.
It is only now, after more than 8-months, that the mother got hold of a suicide note that Mahesh had written on April 8, 2019 (a year ago before ending his life).

Jadhav found her son’s last letter while cleaning his cupboard in the first week of January. The note was found from the folds of a bedsheet while clearing his stuff.
Mahesh had expressed that he was ending his life because of his wife. He even mentioned that the woman would sleep with her paramour in front of him to provoke him as he was impotent.
Background
The FIR registered with the Viramgram town police last week stated that Mahesh’s first wife left him some years ago. After two-years, he got married to one Ambika Marathe, a resident of Kalyan from Maharashtra. The proposal was brought to him by Kishor Bhil, Ambika’s relative.
Mahesh had mentioned in the letter, that after a few months into second marriage, he developed erectile dysfunction after which his wife began calling him impotent.
Not just this, Ambika also started calling Bhil to their residence every now and then and had sexual relations with Bhil in front of her husband to provoke him to get him physically intimate with her.

The letter further stated,
I asked them to end their relationship as it was badly hurting me but they continued to insult me. As they have refused to stop, I will commit suicide.
On April 9, 2020, the victim suddenly disappeared and was not reachable to anybody. The police later found his body from Narmada canal near Lakhtar on April 10 and ended up registering an accidental death case and started their investigation.
Based on the suicide note found by Mahesh’s mother earlier this month, a case of abetment to suicide has been filed against Marathe and Bhil.
