An 18-year-old girl from Morena district of Madhya Pradesh has accused her father of raping her twice during the lockdown. The girl has also accused her mother to be an accomplice in the alleged crime.
According to the complainant, she was raped twice by her father within a fortnight during Lockdown 1. The girl’s parents on the other hand, however, denied all allegations and said that the girl was framing them. They alleged that the girl was accusing them falsely as they had raised an objection to her relationship with a youth.
According to TOI report, the girl was working in her kitchen on March 26, when the first assault took place. At around 2pm, the father allegedly grabbed her and took her to a room. The man is accused to have tied his daughter to a bed while her mother stuffed a cloth into her mouth.
The girl was then reportedly raped by her father and her mother watched in silence. According to the girl, the man told her that it would make things less painful after marriage. After the incident, the girl’s parents locked her inside a room to prevent her from informing the cops.

On April 10, the girl managed to escape from her home and rushed to her aunt’s place. Once again, she alleged that the accused father managed to trace her location and brought her back. This was the second instance that the girl has accused her father of raping her.
Girl’s father is a retired school department officer. The complainant is the youngest of three daughters and alleged that the father had tried similar attempts on her elder sisters too.
Police Informed
The girl was rescued when her elder sister called 1098 toll-free number and narrated her ordeal. The alleged victim also showed bite marks on her cheeks and injuries on her wrist when she was rescued by the police.
Asit Yadav, Morena SP said,
We have detained the couple following her complaint. Her statement would be recorded before the magistrate.

However, Yadav confirmed that the girl’s parents have a different version of the same story. He said,
We will have to seize corroborative evidences including the clothes that she worn on the day she was raped.
Investigations are underway, yet most mainstream media has run the story with headline:
“Girl raped twice by father during lockdown
while mother stuffs cloth in her mouth.”
