Woman Slaps & Thrashes Husband When He Could Not Afford Rs 12,000 Karwa Chauth Saree

Karwa Chauth is one of those special occasions for married women, when on the day of the auspicious festival, wives fast for their husbands, wishing them a long life. The wives in return are supposed to get a gift from their men.

However, in a country where dowry and demand of valuables from a wife and her family is a crime, married women can go to any extent to extort whatever they want from their husbands.

Case:

The festival of Karwa Chauth turned out to be a nightmare for a man in Ghaziabad, NCR. A wife beat up her husband for…….not getting her an expensive saree!

The shopkeeper had to intervene and call the police to stop the physical violence by the woman.

The festival was going to take place on Wednesday, and a day before, the man took his wife to a showroom to buy her a gift for the same. He asked his wife to choose a saree of her choice, however, she ended up liking none from all the options shown to her by the shopkeeper.

The woman then demanded that the shopkeeper presented her with better options. The saree seller then started displaying expensive pieces to the woman in the hope that she would like one.

This is when the woman liked one saree a lot. When the husband asked for the price, they were quoted a price of Rs 12,000. Since the price range was quite high, the man began convincing his wife to choose some lesser expensive saree. He kept requesting her to go for another option which they could afford, however, the woman lost her temper and slapped the man in front of everyone.

She also thrashed her husband in the showroom. Onlookers could not control the situation and called for Muradnagar Police Station Area of Ghaziabad.

The cops reached the spot after receiving the information. They talked with the couple and sent them home after ending their dispute.

Most of you reading this might have had a good laugh or just murmured what a woman! However, now imagine if genders were reversed in the same scenario, you would have abused the man and started smashing patriarchy! The police too, would have lodged the husband in jail for thrashing his wife.

However, the violent woman here got a free pass and the matter was concluded as…….ghar ka mamla (family dispute)! Also, the husband has to swallow public humiliation and live with the same woman, because he is always the provider.
